Years of exploring avocados led her to not only the knowledge of avocado’s amazing nutritional value and health benefits, but also to the sublime essence of the fruit: the avocado oil. - Up to 70 percent of avocado oil consists of heart-healthy oleic acid, a monounsaturated omega-9 fatty acid.
- Avocado oil is a source of lutein, a carotenoid naturally found in the eyes which functions as an antioxidant. The human body does not produce lutein, so it must be obtained through diet. Eating lutein may reduce one’s risk of cataracts and macular degeneration.
- Avocado oil has anti-inflammatory properties. Avocado Unsaponifiables blocks pro-inflammatory chemicals, prevents deterioration of synovial cells (which line the joints) and may help regenerate normal connective tissue.
- Avocado oil helps absorbing nutrients from plant foods. Some nutrients are "fat soluble," meaning that they need to be combined with fat in order to be utilized.
